„Pod Baranami” theater is located in the oldest Cracow’s same name Palace, which belongs to Potocki family. The cinema came a life in 1969. In 1993, October, 1, the cinema became a part of Movie Center Graffiti, and remined as a part of it untill 2003. Now it’s a separate one. It’s famous thanks to a chamber atmosphere and good film programme. It’s an art-house without a popcorn smell, but with good movies. The cinema promotes art and European movies, but the programme contains American, Asian and other countries’ films. The Idea is the presentation of good, interesting, brave or controversial art works and making classic, independent or avant-garde movies closer. We offer the regular film reviews, directed by Jarmusch, Almodovar, Tykwer or night marathons (Valentine day, Takeshi Kitano or Indian night), foreign cinematography presentations (Spanish, Chineese, Slovak, Dutch). The cinema “Pod Baranami” is the place, where ceremonial premiers or meetings with famous film makers are held. Silent Film’s annual festival takes place here. Our cinema is the member of the Europa Cinemas net and Polish Studio Cinemas. Seating capacity: 260.
