Słowacki theater (at the begining it was named “Miejski”) was open in 1893,October 21. The building was disigned by Jan Zawiejski and patterned on the most beautiful European theaters. It’s a good example of the eclectic architecture (end of XIX century). The frontage is decorated with Tadeusz Błotnicki Alfred Daun and Mieczysław Zawiejski sculptures. The booking office is open: Wednesday – Saturday: 11.00-14.00, 15.00-19.00, Sunday – two hours before a performance.
