This theater is one of the oldest theaters in Poland. In 1781 Mateusz Witkowski got an authority permit for theater enterprise. Performances took place in Spiski Palace, which is located in the Cracow’s Main Market. The first performance took place in October, 17, it was a French comedy. Now the the theater is located on the crossroads of Jagiellońska st. and Szczepański square. Theater performances are held on the Big, New and Chamber stages.
